Once you have created a project, you can assign employees to that project. Assigning an employee to the project is how you add the project to a timecard. To see our complete Project Guide click here:
- Click the Project Name from the list of projects
- Select the Budget Tab
- Click the Assign Personnel button
By clicking on "assign personnel", you open up the Assignments form.
Person: * Select a person from your Personnel List.
Hours: the number of hours you have budgeted for this individual. This information turns up on the individual's "My Assignments" list.
Start Date: This is the date that the assignment should start - the employee will be able to enter time on or after this date. By default, this is the same as the start date of the project.
End Date: This is the date that the assignment should end - the employee will be able to enter time before or on this date. By default, this is the same as the end date of the project.
Project manager: if you check the checkbox marking this individual as the project manager, the person is able to see rates and internal costs.
Show on timecard: Make sure this box is checked if you wish for this person to see this assignment on their timecard.
Role/Rate: From the drop down, select the role/rate for this assignment from the rate book associated with the project. An * will show that the individual is eligible for the position. View rate details allows you to see eligibility requirements about the rate.
