Rate books in Griot provide a way to manage your project costing in a consistent manner. Each rate book consists of a number rates that can be applied to employees when they are assigned to a project. This approach is consistent with government mechanisms such as GSA schedules, and when used properly they can help ensure compliance with GSA rules and simplify project cost estimation.
With Griot you can define multiple rate books for your company. Rate books are valid for a particular period of time (generally corresponding with your company's fiscal year). Griot provides the ability to make copies of rate books applying a consistent percentage change to the rates. This can be used to simplify the inclusion of cost of living increases in your rate books, or to provide discounted rate books for particular audiences.
